Your New Chip Card
Your new eVantage Prepaid MasterCardĀ® with an EMV security chip has been ordered.
You should receive your new card soon. Your card will arrive in a plain white window envelope with no mention of eVantage Card on the outside of the envelope.
Once your new chip card arrives, please activate it IMMEDIATELY. Instructions to activate your card will be included with the new card.
Other information about this process:
  • You have 30 days from today to activate and switch over to your new chip card before your old card is closed. If you don't activate your card within this time, then all of the funds in your account will be sent to you via a check.
  • Any balance on your old card will automatically be moved to your new chip card once it is activated.
  • If you have any automatic payments set up, you WILL need to update the merchant(s) with your new card number.
  • If you have a linked bank account (from the My Account site or from your personal bank's website) your accounts will need to be relinked and verified again. For more information for updating your linked accounts from the My Account site, Log into your My Account site, select Load Funds, Load from Checking or Savings, and follow the prompts on the screen.
  • If you have direct deposit set up, you WILL need to update the load source (ex: employer or federal benefits including social security, VA benefits) with your new DDA number (the routing number will not change). The routing number and new DDA number will be mailed along with your new chip card.
Upon activation of your new chip card, you will receive additional information for linking your bank account and updating direct deposit. We will work with you to allow ample time for making these updates.
